Adult ADHD Assessments
Many adults come to therapy with a quiet question: Why does daily life feel so much harder than it should?
I offer structured, evidence-based ADHD assessments for adults seeking clarity, validation, and a deeper understanding of how they function.
My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and grounded in validated clinical instruments. These are not quick online screeners. They are thoughtful, collaborative evaluations designed to provide diagnostic clarity and meaningful insight.
My Approach
Adult ADHD is frequently misunderstood or overlooked — especially in high-functioning adults.
I prioritize clinical reasoning over simple checklists. ADHD shares features with anxiety, depression, trauma, and burnout, so careful differentiation matters.
My assessments center on the DIVA-5, the gold-standard diagnostic interview for adult ADHD. Rather than focusing only on surface symptoms, we explore how patterns have shown up from childhood through adulthood.

How Virtual Assessment Works
All assessments are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video.
You’ll complete digital rating scales in advance. We then meet for a 2-hour clinical interview. I recommend a private, uninterrupted space, as we will be reviewing your history in depth.
I am licensed in California and Texas and provide virtual services in both states.
Professional Scope
As an LMFT, I am legally authorized to diagnose mental health conditions. ADHD diagnoses are based on DSM-5 criteria.
I provide these assessments on a self-pay basis and do not bill insurance. This assessment is focused on clinical diagnosis and treatment planning; it may not meet the requirements for high-stakes academic accommodations (like the LSAT/MCAT) or formal disability claims, which typically require a neuropsychological battery from a psychologist. I’m also unable to prescribe medication.
After the Assessment
This is a complete, standalone service. You are not required to continue into therapy. My goal is to provide a solid foundation so you can make informed decisions — whether that includes medication, lifestyle changes, or therapy support.
Ultimately, this process is about moving from self-questioning to self-understanding — seeing your patterns clearly and replacing criticism with accuracy.
If you decide you’d like support applying what we discover — whether that involves executive functioning strategies, trauma processing, or working through long-standing patterns — I offer ongoing therapy designed to integrate that insight into daily life.
The same brain that creates friction in certain areas is often the source of creativity, resilience, and drive. This work isn’t about focusing on deficits. It’s about understanding what makes you unique, discovering your strengths, and releasing the shame that may have shaped how you see yourself.
