Adult ADHD Assessment
I offer comprehensive ADHD assessments for adults seeking diagnostic clarity and a deeper understanding of how attention, executive functioning, and emotional regulation affect daily life.
My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed. Assessments are collaborative, in-depth, and based on clinical interview, standardized measures, and careful differential diagnosis rather than brief screening tools.
What to Expect
ADHD assessment is a multi-session process that requires a meaningful time commitment. Most clients spend approximately 5–6 hours with me across multiple sessions, typically scheduled in 1–2 hour appointments, followed by clinical interpretation and report preparation, and review session.
The assessment includes:
Multiple in-depth clinical interviews
Structured assessment measures
Review of developmental, educational, and psychosocial history
Consideration of co-occurring or alternative explanations (such as anxiety, depression, or trauma)
A comprehensive written report summarizing findings and diagnostic impressions
A feedback session to review results and discuss next steps
Fee
The total fee for the complete ADHD assessment is $1,200, which includes all assessment sessions, preparation of the written report, and the feedback appointment.
These services are offered on a self-pay basis.
Insurance & Use of the Report
Insurance plans generally require ADHD testing to be conducted by a licensed psychologist or physician (MD/DO). As a result, this assessment is not covered by insurance, even if you have mental health benefits.
If you are seeking documentation specifically for disability determinations, academic accommodations, workplace accommodations, or legal purposes, a psychological or neuropsychological evaluation may be required. That level of testing is more extensive than what I provide, and I’m happy to help with referrals if needed.
Is This a Good Fit?
This assessment may be appropriate if you are:
An adult seeking a thorough, thoughtful ADHD evaluation
Willing to commit 5–6 hours across multiple sessions
Looking for clarity to guide treatment, self-understanding, or next steps
If you’re unsure whether this assessment meets your needs, we can discuss this during an initial consultation.
